As we age, our skin loses its elasticity, and fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear on our face. While some individuals may opt for surgical procedures to reverse these signs of aging, others prefer non-surgical treatments like injectable dermal fillers. One such popular dermal filler is Juvederm, which is a hyaluronic acid-based filler that can help restore lost volume, smoothen out wrinkles and fine lines, and enhance facial features. At Heights Aesthetic Laser Center, we offer Juvederm injection treatment to our clients, and here's how we do it.
Step 1: Consultation
Before the procedure, our certified aesthetician will conduct a consultation with the client to understand their aesthetic goals and discuss any concerns or allergies they may have. The consultation is also an opportunity for the aesthetician to assess the client's skin and determine the right amount of Juvederm filler needed to achieve the desired results.
Step 2: Pre-treatment preparation
Once the consultation is complete, the aesthetician will prep the treatment area by cleaning it thoroughly and applying a numbing cream to minimize any discomfort during the injection. The aesthetician will also disinfect the area to reduce the risk of infection.
Step 3: Juvederm Injection
The Juvederm injection process itself typically takes around 15-30 minutes, depending on the treatment area's size and the amount of filler needed. During the procedure, the aesthetician will use a thin needle to inject the filler into the targeted areas. The hyaluronic acid in the Juvederm filler attracts and binds to water molecules, which adds volume to the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Step 4: Post-treatment care
Once the injection is complete, the aesthetician will massage the area to ensure that the filler is evenly distributed. The client may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising, but these symptoms typically resolve within a few days. To minimize the risk of infection and ensure optimal results, the client should avoid touching the treated area and avoid strenuous physical activity for 24 hours after the procedure.
Step 5: Follow-up
The aesthetician will schedule a follow-up appointment with the client to assess the treatment's effectiveness and make any necessary adjustments.
